Help those who are impacted by the devastating earthquake in Haiti!

Many of the 470 churches that Haiti’s members worship in are now in ruins. This is also true of hospitals and schools. You have seen the devastation. The 335,000 Adventist members in Haiti now need our help. Their economy is destroyed, making it difficult not only to continue ministry, but also to rebuild.

“We must become the helping hands of family members who care,” says Don Schneider, the president of the North American Division. “Our heartfelt prayers and concerns are with the people of Haiti still suffering the effects of this devastating earthquake. Because we know Jesus loves us, we must let them know that His love compels us to help.”

A North American Division-wide offering for the Haiti Union Mission will be taken on February 6, 2010. This special offering will be focused on assisting Adventists and the Adventist work in Haiti, specifically rebuilding churches, schools, and assisting in workers’ salaries.

This special offering allows each member here help Seventh-day Adventists in Haiti rebuild and reach out to their country in this time of tragedy. The Pennsylvania Conference has designated $10,000 to be sent immediately to help rebuild the ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Haiti.

There are several ways you can give to this incredible need.
1. You can give online at www.adra.org.
2.  Text the word "ADRA" to 85944 and reply, "Yes" when you receive a text back. Each text will allow you to give $10 with the charge going to your phone bill. You may do this up to three times for a total of $30.
3. Give through your local Adventist church by writing "ADRA-Haiti" on your tithe envelope. (Treasurers note that the remittance code is 3613.)
