Children's Ministries

The mission of the Children's Ministries Department is to nurture children into a loving, serving relationship with Jesus.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church as a moral and civil duty to protect the children and youth entrusted its care.

The church is committed to providing safe worship and educational environments to help children and youth learn to love and follow Jesus Christ.

According to the Church Manual Edition 18, pp 168-169, "Everyone involved in work with children who are minors must meet all Church and legal standards and requirements".

Background screening is essential to these requirements.  Before any individual is allowed to work with children, whether as an employee of the Seventh-day Adventist church or as a volunteer in one of our local churches or schools, a background screening must be completed.

Volunteers must complete these forms:

Both of these forms are maintained at the local church level.

The Pennsylvania Conference uses Protect My Ministry to do our online Volunteer screenings.  Please follow this link for the online screenings Volunteer Background Checks.  Note, please provide an email address for the FREE training.
