COMMUNICATION

OUR MISSION

The Communications Department seeks to inform and inspire constituents through quality communication and support services. We seek to keep members informed about news, information, events, and resources for effective ministry, working with the various departments and ministries of the Conference, as we attempt to promote mission in a way that is intentional and relevant. Communication Director Tamyra Horst was given an Award of Excellence in 2014 by the Columbia Union Conference as a result of this commitment.

As digital missionaries, our goal must be to create for meaningful impact. To be successful, there are many elements of consideration that must go into the planning process of any evangelistic effort. In this Zoom workshop, Jamie Domm will take you through all the key steps from identifying the felt needs of a clearly defined audience, to content development and distribution, mission and branding, setting goals, and defining success in the context of God’s mission.

Jamie Domm is a digital marketing consultant with over 15 years’ experience developing results-based strategies for non-profits. She is the author of the book Digital Discipleship and Evangelism, that serves as a practical guide for outreach, community service, growth, and evangelism. She is also the cofounder of Angels in the Glen, an independent digital ministry that serves to guide men and women around the world to a deeper understanding of end-time, prophetic truth so that they will be ready for the soon return of Jesus Christ.

Leveraging YouTube for Ministry & Outreach

Sunday, March 5, 2023

9:00-10:00 am

Zoom Workshop

People come to YouTube seeking answers and trying to solve problems. The Church should be the leader in creating content that answers people’s questions about life and helps them solve their problems. To do that, our content must be positioned for findability. Otherwise, our messages will continue to get lost in the clutter. In this presentation, Jamie Domm will take your through the process of optimizing your YouTube channel for Evangelism.

COMMUNICATING OUR MESSAGE

We continue to look for relevant ways to promote not only the events and initiatives of the Pennsylvania Conference, but to inspire and challenge people to live our mission, “Revealing Jesus, Making Disciples.” Some of the ways we accomplish this include:

  • Seeking to keep our website current and informative
  • Connecting via social media like our Conference Facebook page
  • Publishing two newsletters, “The Pen” and “United Together”, as well as eblasts versions for those who prefer to read their content online, and a Spanish version of our “Making a Difference”
  • Producing promotional videos for our Pennsylvania offerings
  • Filming videos for events like Equipping University and the pastors meetings
  • Uploading videos to our Vimeo page which features hundreds of videos including training seminars, sermons on grace, testimonies of young people involved in our various summer ministries, and offering promo videos
  • Live streaming camp meeting main worships and providing audio recordings of all worships and seminars
  • Creating promotional materials for events and offerings
  • Supporting the various departments and ministries of the Pennsylvania Conference
