Education

OUR MISSION

Adventist Education is an outstanding system of schools that began in 1872 and has grown to be the second largest Christian educational system worldwide. Currently there are over 1000 elementary and secondary schools and 15 colleges and universities serving 65,000 students in the North American Division alone. The Pennsylvania Conference education department works within this system and operates and supports twelve schools in our state.

Adventist education imparts more than excellent academic knowledge. It fosters a balanced development of the whole person—spiritual, physical, intellectual, and social-emotional—a process that spans a lifetime. Working together, homes, schools, and churches cooperate with divine agencies to prepare learners to be good citizens in this world and for eternity. Our goal is to help schools provide students every opportunity for their spiritual, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth, equipping them not only for their future in this world, but also for eternity. Our schools will enable young people to grow in their relationship with Jesus and lead them to use their gifts and abilities to serve others.

Our Core Values influence all we do in education. Learn what these five values are, how we live them out in our schools, and how they impact our students. Our goal is to help schools provide students every opportunity for their spiritual, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth, equipping them not only for their future in this world, but also for eternity. Learn more HERE.

Our classrooms go beyond the walls of our schools. Students will experience hands on adventures and learning through field trips, Outdoor School, Music Fest, our annual Education Fair, community service opportunities, leading church services, performing music for others, and so much more. We believe that each student has a special purpose and we strive to provide every opportunity for their spiritual, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.

Testimonies

What are parents saying about Adventist education?

“The thing I appreciate most about our Adventist school and it’s teachers is that whether a student is advanced and excels in a subject or whether they struggle in a subject, the same attention and guidance is given to both levels. Students move thru curriculum as they learn and understand it. Teachers are willing to go above and beyond to help their students.”
