Blue Mountain SDA Elementary School in Hamburg, PA

Blue Mountain SDA Elementary(BME) is a beautiful, updated facility with lots of room for growth. We are nestled against the Blue Mountains and have great opportunities for outdoor learning and exploration. BME is supported by the Hamburg Community SDA Church and Blue Mountain Academy Church and is located across the street from Blue Mountain Academy(BMA) and the PA Conference Office of SDA.  The community is excited about growing and creating a family atmosphere which supports students from PreK to 12th grade. BME works cooperatively with the academy to provide high school credits to advanced elementary students. Excellent academics at BME also include STEM, 3D printing  Strong technology support and interest.  STEM opportunities with 3D printing, coding, OSMO, Promethean and other educational supports

Required Experience

The ideal candidate will be a Seventh-day Adventist who is actively involved in church and school ministries. The candidate will love Jesus and love sharing Jesus with children. The candidate will be committed to developing academic excellence in students as well as developing their love for Jesus and Biblical truths as expressed in Seventh-day Adventist beliefs.   A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, with NAD teacher certification, or the willingness to take classes to achieve NAD certification, is required. The ability to work in the US is required. New graduate teachers are welcome as they will have the opportunity to grow and develop their teaching skills in a supportive environment with experienced mentor teachers.
