The Pennsylvania Conference of Seventh-day Adventists offers two special scholarship opportunities for students attending Loma Linda University:
The Nanette E. Wuchenich, MD, Medical School Scholarship
The Gary T. Wuchenich, DDS, MS, Dental School Scholarship
These scholarships help support Seventh-day Adventist medical and dental students who are committed to the healing ministry of Jesus, the mission of Adventist healthcare, and future service in Pennsylvania.
Scholarship Details
Every four years, the Pennsylvania Conference provides scholarships for two eligible students:
One medical student.
One dental student.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be accepted to or enrolled at Loma Linda University School of Medicine or School of Dentistry
- Be active members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Applicants must be either citizens of the United States or green card holders at the time of application and provide documentation verifying their status.
- Demonstrate commitment to Adventist mission and healthcare ministry
- Maintain good to excellent academic standing
- Show financial need
- Agree to practice in Pennsylvania for at least five years after completing school, residency, or fellowship
Application Timeline
Applications should be submitted to the Pennsylvania Conference Officers’ Committee:
Medical students: by December of the first semester.
Dental students: by the second quarter of the first semester.
Exceptions may be considered by contacting the Conference.
